Focus on Environmental Protection and Energy Consumption

Norplex-Micarta’s new factory in Changzhou, China, scheduled to begin production early next year, features advanced technology designed to protect the environment and reduce energy usage. Norplex has designed specialized systems to capture and destroy up to 99% of all volatile organic compounds (VOCs) generated during the manufacturing process. In addition, Norplex is currently developing detailed work procedures and administrative regulations to augment its engineering controls and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental standards.
“Norplex-Micarta has invested substantially in environmental technology such as the RTO (Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer) in order to reduce energy consumption and marginalize hazardous chemical release into the atmosphere. We recognize that environmental protection is currently a major topic of discussion within China, and take great pride in being an industry leader in this area,” said Richard Chen, Changzhou Operations Manager.
