MC511AF

It (NEMA G-11) is a high strength medium weight fiberglass epoxy resin composite that offers excellent physical, mechanical, and electrical properties at both room temperature and elevated temperatures. The product retains at least 50 percent of its room-temperature flexural strength at 150°C (E-1/150, T-150). MC511AF is chosen over high temperature glass mat composites and high-performance glass-filled thermoplastics because of its excellent machineability, outstanding dimensional stability, superior creep resistance, and overall endurance over long periods of time in the application. In use, the product is often exposed to continuous temperatures as high as 155°C for up to a decade. And in short-term applications such as insulation in aerospace and defense systems, the material withstands temperatures in excess of 300°C. Halogen free to conform to European restrictions, MC511AF is specially formulated to meet exacting power generation standards requiring higher strength at elevated temperatures. The product is considered the standard material for use as Class F insulation in electrical power generation and transmission equipment. MC511AF complies with the requirements of MIL-I-24768/3, Type GEB
