Phenolic resins have good chemical and thermal resistance, are inherently low in flammability, and are generally lower in cost when compared with other resin types. Phenolic resins are amber in color and have relatively lower impact strength. Applications are very diverse and range from decorative laminate to brake linings to bearing cages and various wear parts.
